Hikvision Intrusion Detectors

What we offer

Hikvision offers a wide range of both wired and wireless detectors for many scenarios. Compact design, easy installation, and great reliability make our detectors popular components of an intrusion alarm system. The Hikvision intrusion detectors are equipped with many advanced technologies, some examples include the pet-immune feature, anti-masking and anti-blocking function, tri-detection technology, and many more, to ensure that the detectors works well when and only when needed.

With this technology, the detector will automatically adjust the upper and lower alarm threshold based on the external temperature. This way, it copes with temperature changes and ensures alarm sensitivity. Digital temperature compensation technology outperforms the traditional method of adjusting the gain of the amplifier on the detector. Increasing the gain of an amplifier makes the device more susceptible to external interference from other devices, such as radios, for example.

Animals like to visit their neighbors’ backyards – sometimes at night, just to take a moonlight walk. They are harmless to property, therefore the detector will not trigger an alarm in such a case. With the animal-immune detection technology, false alarms that used to be triggered by animals can now be reduced to a minimum. This makes Hikvision’s intrusion detector an ideal choice for a family with pets or for places frequently visited by harmless wild animals.

Some detectors use PIR technology, which is great at detecting living targets, which emit body heat. Others use microwave technology to detect movements. Combining these two technologies, the intrusion detector will only sound an alarm when both sensors are triggered – something that is both alive and moving. Utilizing this dual technology helps reduce the chances of false alarms.

Tri-detection is the term for another multi-technology detection method – two PIR sensors and a single microwave sensor must be triggered at the same time for the alarm signal to be sent.

For planned burglaries or other events, thieves might cover or spray paint the detectors to mask them when the system is disarmed, and then break in later knowing that the system will not be triggered.

Anti-masking works by using the microwave module to create a second microwave “bubble” that is on at all times and is used only to prevent masking. The microwave bubble is adjustable between 0-1 meter, depending on the application, and it ensures that any attempts to mask the detector is relayed to the control panel.

Anti-blocking is similar to anti-masking, except that the anti-blocking function detects the entire field of view for any blockage. The detector will send an alert to the alarm panel if the FOV is blocked or obstructed by objects such as a car, a box, or a pallet.
